The only thing that this film has in common with the Andersen story is it's a love story between a mermaid and a human man.

At first I thought this movie is just another typical mermaid movie because I have watched a lot of mermaid movies and the stories were all kinda' same, when the mermaid grew feet and fell in love on prince yada yada yada. But this is completely different! This is way better than all of those mermaid movies that I've watched.
